In search of the mighty guardians of the Amber Trail

Route: Hukvaldy - Štramberk - Rožnov pod Radhoštěm - Helfštýn - Kroměříž - Buchlov

Length of program: weekend

Since time immemorial the Amber Trail has been guarded by great, impregnable castles like Buchlov, Hukvaldy, or Helfštýn. And if you visit Helfštyn Castle on the last weekend in August, you will have the chance to admire the work of master blacksmiths at their traditional fair Hefaiston.

On our trip you will discover the mighty castles of Buchlov, Hukvaldy, Helfštýn, or picturesque Štramberk with its famous tower the Trúba. At Helfštýn Castle the program is enlivened by the traditional fair of master blacksmiths. You can encounter other crafts along with traditional folk architecture at the Rožnov outdoor museum. Or you can admire the splendor of the palace and gardens of the Archbishops of Olomouc in Kroměříž.
